STATIC-X Announce New Drummer

June 22, 2003

After auditioning more than 30 candidates over the course of the past two months, STATIC-X have decided to recruit Nick Oshiro (ex-SEETHER) as the replacement for recently departed drummer Ken Jay.

"Finding the right drummer to nail the old songs and cop the feel for the groove of the new songs was tricky, but Nick completely mastered the task," said frontman Wayne Static.

"It felt great from the first song we played with Nick," guitarist Tripp Eisen added. "He plowed into 'Bled For Days' and then 'Love Dump' and we knew we had the right guy. His new energy is very inspiring for us and now we can't wait to get out on the road and just kill."

STATIC-X, who recently completed work on their third full-length album, "Shadow Zone", with producer Josh Abraham (STAIND, LIMP BIZKIT, UNWRITTEN LAW),are currently in rehearsals for their upcoming tour with STAIND.
